The Home Circle has been created to support parents, carers and families with practical guidance, emotional wellbeing tools and realistic strategies that help create calmer homes, stronger communication and more connected support around the child.

How deeply a struggling child can impact an entire family.
The worry, uncertainty and emotional exhaustion often extend far beyond the child themselves and affect the people who care for them most.
That is why The Home Circle exists.
Sometimes support begins before a child ever enters The Rainbow Room. Parents, carers and grandparents often need a safe place to ask questions, gain clarity, explore concerns and feel supported in their own right before deciding on the next step for their child.

My role is not to overwhelm families with more information.
It is to provide practical guidance, emotional support and realistic strategies that help families feel more confident, more informed and better equipped to navigate challenges as they arise.
Because supporting a child also means supporting the people who walk alongside them every day.

Depending on the age, confidence and support needs of the child, parents will be involved in specific stages of the support process.
I begin by meeting with parents only first, giving them the opportunity to openly discuss their concerns, observations and goals for their child in a safe and supportive environment. This helps me gain a deeper understanding of the child's experiences before we begin working together.
In most cases, I then spend one-on-one time with the child. Children are often highly sensitive to the worries, emotions and reactions of the adults around them, and some may hold back or filter their responses when a parent is present. Having their own space allows them to relax, build trust and express themselves more openly.
This does not mean parents are removed from the process. Parent involvement remains an important part of the support journey. While children benefit from having a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings independently, parents continue to receive guidance, feedback and practical strategies to help reinforce learning, confidence and emotional growth at home.
The strongest outcomes occur when children, parents and support networks work together, creating a connected and supportive environment around the child.
Every child is different. Some children benefit from short-term support, while others may engage in ongoing wellbeing and confidence-building pathways over time.

Yes. I strongly believe children benefit most when parents, educators and support systems work together using shared understanding and practical strategies.
Yes… My approach is strengths-based and supportive of diverse learning styles, emotional needs and different ways children process information and engage with the world.
Yes. My work is grounded in more than 40 years of educational experience across mainstream, alternative and homeschool environments, combined with child-centred, strengths-based approaches that support learning, confidence and engagement.
The strategies and frameworks I use are informed by established educational practices, learning theory, practical classroom experience and a deep understanding of how children process information, communicate and develop confidence in themselves as learners.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, I focus on understanding each child's unique Learning Fingerprint™ and providing practical, personalised support that helps them thrive both emotionally and academically.
Yes. Where appropriate, I work collaboratively alongside parents, educators and external support professionals to help create more connected support pathways for the child.
