Because every child deserves support that meets them where they are
The system simply hasn’t discovered how they learn best yet
For many children, school quietly becomes a place where confidence begins to shrink.
Not because they aren’t capable, but because they process, learn and experience the world differently.
After more than four decades working across both mainstream and alternative education settings, Lozz Kennedy saw firsthand how many bright, capable young people were slipping through the cracks. Children who simply needed a different approach, practical emotional support and more breathing space to reconnect with themselves, their confidence and their learning.
That’s why Give A Kid A Break was created.
This is not about labels or forcing children into a one-size-fits-all system.
It’s about helping children understand:
How They Learn
How they process information
How they communicate
And how to build confidence in themselves again
At the same time, parents and educators are given practical tools and shared language that create stronger support systems both at home and within the classroom.
Because when children feel emotionally safe, understood and supported, everything begins to change.
Too many children grow up believing they are failing when, in reality, they simply need support that understands how they learn, process and experience the world differently. Give a Kid a Break was created to remind children, families and educators that emotional wellbeing matters, learning is not one-size-fits-all, and every child deserves the opportunity to feel capable, confident, supported, and to learn in a way they understand.

The Learning Fingerprint framework helps children better understand:
How they naturally process information
How they retain and organise knowledge
How they communicate
What support tools help them thrive best.
When children understand how their brain works, frustration often begins to reduce and confidence starts to grow. This strengths-based approach helps move children away from self-doubt and towards a stronger belief in their own abilities.
Different minds.
Different strengths.
Different pathways to success.

Many support systems focus only on behaviour, academic performance or short-term outcomes. My approach focuses on the whole child. I Combine:
Emotional wellbeing support
Confidence-building
Differentiated learning awareness
Practical classroom strategies
Communication support
Emotional regulation tools
Resilience-building techniques
Family-school connection frameworks
Through practical, evidence-informed and strengths-based approaches, I help children better understand themselves while giving parents and educators tools they can realistically apply in everyday life.
